As AI Evolves, So Do I

It's been SO long since I last updated this blog. My last blog entry was 5 years ago and I was in a dark, lonely place at the time. But now, I'm happy to say that I'm in a much better place. A lot has happened since then. I graduated from my MA program, worked at two companies after the previous one during the time when I wrote my blog post 5 years ago (which, in my opinion, is a total lying scam founded and led by two VERY unqualified people who falsify and call themselves leaders), earned my 4th college degree, met and got married to the love of my life, found a cozy home and moved in together, and adopted an adorable tuxedo cat that we are proud to call our very own fur-baby. Life has been pretty good, I got to say. 😎

Not only has my life changed since then, but the world has changed—not sure if it's for the better or for worse. For one thing, technology and artificial intelligence have drastically advanced since the 2020 pandemic. I believe that this came to be partially because of the significant amount of time discovering new advances of technology while in lockdown. Also, when many people were working remotely from home, it was a pivotal time to experience an alternative work setting that eventually became a household option for some professional career fields. I personally am not fully for or against AI, but I firmly believe that it needs to be strictly monitored and regulated. As a copywriter by trade, I don't necessarily view AI as a total threat because original creativity always stems from human ideas and thought. Period. While AI can provide some recommendations or suggestions, it shouldn't be fully utilized as a replacement for writers, artists, or other professionals who use the platform. Instead, it should be applied as a supplemental tool when generating content and ideas.

Disclaimer: I know that not all writers are creatives use AI as a tool nor would they probably agree to apply it to their work, but this is just my personal stance on the subject matter.

I really can't believe that it's been 5 years since I updated this blog. The 2020s really changed humanity and society worldwide. I got to say that it's a bit surreal getting older and seeing those who are younger than me begin their schooling and careers. (As a proud millennial, I still think the '90s and '00s were not that long ago, lol.) It's a sentimental feeling because I was once in their shoes and seeing the younger generations experience life's journey—in a way that was perhaps a bit different than mine—is fascinating and bittersweet to witness. Where has the time gone?!

But, as the title of this blog post states: "As AI Evolves, So Do I", time is moving a bit too quickly. However, it just goes to show how powerful human ambition and knowledge towards AI and technology can be while making a global impact. Until next time, my friend. ✌
